How To Play A Country Style Blues on Bass: The Root - 5th Pattern from "Call Me The Breeze"

Описание к видео How To Play A Country Style Blues on Bass: The Root - 5th Pattern from "Call Me The Breeze"

In this lesson, we learn how to play a country blues feel on the bass... a must-have groove for any blues or country jam session. It involves the root - fifth pattern that you'll commonly hear on country-influenced tunes that follow a 12 bar blues progression. "Call Me The Breeze" or "Folsom Prison Blues" are great examples.

This play along features bassist Sean Hurley on John Mayer's version of "Call Me The Breeze." Originally written by J.J. Cale, Mayer includes a great version on his record 'Paradise Valley.' You can learn more about Sean Hurley in my book, 'Bass Players To Know.'
