Take 'A Whirl Around The Gaiety' with the world-premiere of our brand-new online film written by Len McCaffer and co-produced with University of the West of Scotland.

This new short film takes disenfranchised teenager Amy on a journey not only through The Gaiety Theatre but its history too. Amy meets activist Davies Brock who is trying to save the theatre from demolition. As they explore the theatre they meet the people whose stories make up its past: stories about how the theatre survived wars, fires, lions, a drunk Frenchman and how Cherubs saved the building! This film reflects on The Gaiety’s variety heritage with a rich mix of comedy, music and dance.

Featuring: Chris Alexander, Gregor Barclay, Julie Duncanson, Amy Kennedy, Mark McDonnell, Cristian Ortega, Sarah Sunderland and Rebecca Wilkie. Music from VanIves
