Passengers requested a stop at the Seminole Indian reservation.
Chief Osceola said NO as it was an intrusion to their way of life.

Atlantic Coast Line Railroad President Champion McDowell Davis (C.M. Davis) ordered the chieftain's name be placed on a letter board "Arrow" in his honor. The "Dixie Flyer" slowed down when it reached the reservation, but did not stop.
Upon seeing his name the chief staged himself in front of the 4-4-2 and shouted "Wikvs!"!"
