The grave of notorious paedophile and sex offender Jimmy Savile in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

This is the original burial place of notorious sex offender and paedophile Jimmy Savile at the Woodlands Cemetery in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Savile was buried here in November 2011 amidst a wave of public emotion, befitting his then status as a beloved national treasure.

However, within weeks, news slowly began to emerge of Savile's horrifying double life as one of Britain's most prolific paedophiles and sex offenders. As a result, Savile's headstone bearing the terrifying message 'It was good while it lasted' was hastily removed .

It has never been publicly revealed whether Savile's remains were exhumed. Although one assumes they have. If not, then it is at this spot - ironically an idyllic and peaceful location on the outskirts of picturesque Yorkshire seaside Scarborough, a town where Savile kept a home for many years, where one of Britain's most sickening individuals rests.
