Also since the New Year is coming up here's a fun bit of time-based trivia for you: Due to the way the International Date Line is drawn (ie: wonky as hell), the time on the island of Kiritimati is more than 24 hours ahead of the time in the territory of American Samoa, despite the fact that Kiritimati is - in fact - further east. These islands are also only about 1500 miles apart, just a three-hour plane ride! This means that when this video goes live (around 9:30am EST), American Samoa will still have about 20.5 hours to go until the New Year, while Kiritimati will have been in 2022 for 4.5 hours.
