Tequila version - Mangonado, Chamango, Chamoyada Recipe a la Nicha's.

Описание к видео Tequila version - Mangonado, Chamango, Chamoyada Recipe a la Nicha's.

Here's how I make the Chamango or Mangonada alcoholic tequila version. The idea came from a San Antonio restaurant called Nicha's.

Ingredients:
1 fresh Alfonso mango, flesh only (About 3/4 cup)
1-ounce fresh lime juice
1 1/2 ounce (1 shot) of Tequila Blanco (Gold is okay)
3/4 to 1 ounce of Orange Liqueur (like Cointreau. I DO NOT LIKE TRIPLE SEC)
Ice to fill glass
1-ounce Liquid Chamoy
Chamoy Straw (Buy at Mexican store or Amazon)
Tajin original powder to add to rim of glass (Optional)

It's basically a mango margarita in a glass with liquid chamoy, rimmed with Tajin powder with a Chamoy candy straw.

Let me know how yours turns out or tweaking you do.

Makes One 12 ounce glass:
1. Add one ounce of fresh lime juice in the glass.
2. Fill 1/3 of glass with fresh Alfonso Mango.
2. Add 1 shot of Tequila (Approx 1 1/2 ounce)
3. Add 1/2 shot of Orange Liqueur (or Cointreau) 3/4 ounce.
4. Fill glass with ice.
5. Blend until smooth.
6. Line 12 ounce glass with about 1 ounce of Liquid Chamoy.
7. Pour in blended Mango margarita into the glass.
8. Add Chamoy straw.
Optional: Line glass rim with original flavor Tajin powder.

You can also make a whole blender-full by multiplying out the number of drinks you want.
