How to trace your lost pensions

There are an estimated 1.6 million lost pension pots in the UK worth around £37 billion. As National Pension Tracing Day approaches at the end of October, I thought this was a great opportunity to explain how I help my clients to find their lost pensions.

If you cannot find the contact details of either a previous employer or a previous pension plan, the Pension Tracing Service website may be able to help. It’s a free government service that searches a database of more than 200,000 workplace and personal pension schemes to try to find the contact details you need.
