Failed new "5-camera" Mass vehicle inspection for nothing

My 2010 Chevy Cobalt failed the new mass safety inspection in October,the first months a new vendor was chosen to install cameras. The plate had chipped when the car was involved in a major accident in 2011. The cars front end was completely repaired and the techs wisely straightened out and reused the old plate. The car passed the old state inspection each year from 2011-2016. It failed this year bc the technician said he couldn't pass it due to the cameras. I had to pay $10 for new plates.
It doesnt have to be this way people of Mass. Inspection doesn't make us safer. We can eliminate this hassle from our lives by supporting congressman who will remove auto inspections like 37 other states have done.
