Mercedes Benz 508D restoration , Ep2, Digging in deeper

We wanted a van with character and we bought a Mercedes Benz from 1979 which needed a little body work done such as rear window change, some rust to deal with and repainting before we would move on to interior build.

What we did not know was how much rust we will be finding once we strip out the interior and look behind the panels. Our naive plan to sort out the body work in 3 - 4 month time has turned in to a full restoration mode which currently marks one year anniversary and gosh how far we have dug in. Restoration is a long and slow process which also means delivering dynamic progress content to YouTube is very challenging. Our current progress and daily updates can be seen in our Instagram Stories and Highlights. YouTube video series will be released but those will require more time for content to be filmed.
