Chef Candra reviews Rise Southern Bisquits and Righteous Chicken.

I came to take part in the Grand Opening. While there I met the owner David. I also met Brian who is apart of the brand.

I decided to have something simple. I used the create your own feature. I selected egg whites when cheddar cheese on a biscuit. It was soft and moist.

They serve breakfast and lunch. They also sell DONUTS! The name of the establishment didn’t include chicken at first. It was changed because they wanted customers to know they also served lunch options too.

Please note, they do NOT ACCEPT CASH!

Rise began in Durham, North Carolina in 2012. Now they are working on their 19th location. if you are in Maryland, they have locations in Gaithersburg, Towson and Columbia.

Special thanks to the CEO, Tom Ferguson for your vision and dedication to this concept. He was trained by the Culinary Institute of America.
