Argonne OutLoud: Protecting the Planet

Описание к видео Argonne OutLoud: Protecting the Planet

04/21/2022 - Catherine Hurley, Bryan Nystrom, Yuki Hamada

In this Argonne OutLoud Public Lecture Series, Argonne's sustainability program manager and two researchers present on the lab's environmental stewardship and their work to move the site closer to being a net zero carbon laboratory by 2050 while advancing decarbonization innovation and technology.

The size of a small city, Argonne's commitment to conserving water and energy, diverting waste, and reducing fuel consumption and pollution is moving the 1,700 acre site closer to the goal of being a net zero carbon laboratory by 2050.

Argonne's research programs are improving the charging capability of electric vehicle charging stations and developing an artificial intelligence platform to monitor bird activities around large-scale solar energy facilities.
