What an amazing days fishing. The plan was to go out and catch some hake - stokvis for the family to eat but on the very first drop with no structure under us the geelbek - cape salmon and kablejou - cob started started biting. We got more then enough and only kept a couple and released all the undersize ones.
We have been chasing these fish all summer and now we finally get them in the winter. We were out on the Wet and Wild (Brian's boat - Super Dolphin 15.6 with 2x 40 Yamaha CV) while my boat was in for some trailer repairs for our upcoming Transkei trip.
