Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave)

Al-Kahf (Arabic: الكهف‎) is the 18th chapter (Surah) of the Quran consisting of 110 verses. It tells the story of the believers in ancient time who when received the message of Truth accepted it. However, they were to face retaliation from the society they lived in and hence the flee from the city and found protection in a cave where Allah Almighty gave them sleep that lasted for centuries and till then their whole city had converted into believers. This Surah gives the message that those who believe in Allah, and ask for protection from Him, He gives them the best protection the likes of which the world has never seen.

“Whoever reads Surah al Kahf on the day of Jummah will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” (al-Jaami)

Surah al Kahf is one of the renowned Surahs of Quran. Besides giving the message of Allah protecting those in miraculous ways who stick to righteousness and stay on the right path, the Surah also comes with a variety of virtues. It helps one expatiate from sins, gain blessings of Allah Almighty and prepare one’s self for the end of days. Therefore, every Muslim man and woman must try getting into the habit of reciting Surah al Kahf on regular bases.

You being with H, which is hearing it for the first time. Then, O is "Open your heart and recite it 7x. The first three times your practicing the tajweed rules. The next three you're getting your flow. And, on the seventh you're reciting it like you would in the prayer. You follow that up with "W" which is a workout where you approach the verses 3x3. The fourth step is solidify that practice with W which is writing it. And, then "Yourself" is testing your knowledge by you recording yourself.
