At Dwell on Design 2012, Cameron Sinclair, co-founder of Architecture for Humanity, shared the ways innovative design is reimagining community, uplifting lives and creating a more sustainable future. He was the keynote speaker for the conference.

Architecture for Humanity is a volunteer non-profit organization set up to promote architecture and design as a way to seek solutions to global and humanitarian crises and promote a more sustainable future. Recognizing that design impacts every aspect of our lives, it connects design professionals willing to lend time and expertise with those who would not otherwise be able to afford their services in order to create structures in areas where they are most critically needed. Offering hope through design, their global network of partners has worked with communities around the world on projects that range from a basketball court with an integrated rainwater collection system in Mahiga, Kenya to housing projects in Biloxi, Mississippi in response to damage done by Hurricane Katrina.
