Gladiator (2000) is not only my favorite Russell Crowe & Ridley Scott film, one of my favorite historical epics but it's one of my favorite films of all time. It would be quite a daunting task for Ridley Scott to direct a sequel over 20 years later. Was Gladiator II a worthy followup to its predecessor?
