Bend your own Durable Locomotive Handrails (Or repair/improve old ones)

Описание к видео Bend your own Durable Locomotive Handrails (Or repair/improve old ones)

Hand bend your own Handrails with Brass Wire - Easy (in HO scale, probably hard but possible in N scale, I'd go .010 for scale appearance in N Scale).

I noticed some missing handrails on my MTH ES44C4 and Athearn Genesis SD70ACe. After looking online for some replacements and coming up empty, I figured I'd try making some of my own. Turns out, it's pretty easy and VERY cheap. In this video you'll see my first attempt, as well as maybe up to my 5th handrail, I'm sure the results would get even better the more you try at it. In total, this used 2 pieces of brass wire (12 are included per tube), so you could easily work through multiple locomotives.

Plastic Handrails suck, they arent always to scale, they're very flimsy, and somehow they always seem to go missing or get broken.

Tools Needed:
Needle Nose Pliers, preferably with at least one flat end
Paint
Brass Wire (I used .015" Phosphor Bronze Wire, 12 pack). Tichy Trains #1102.

Thanks for watching, ask any questions if you have them!
