Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale on August 19, 1969, was a famous American singer and rapper known as the "King of Hooks" because he sang in many popular rap songs from 1992 to 2007. He started his music career in the early '90s with a group called 213, which included his cousin Snoop Dogg and their friend Warren G. Nate Dogg became well-known after featuring on Warren G's hit song "Regulate" in 1994, a song that almost topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This song helped both artists gain a lot of attention. Nate Dogg was especially popular in West Coast hip hop, often working with big names like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Xzibit in the '90s. His deep voice made him a favorite choice for song hooks, and he later collaborated with other famous artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, and Ludacris. Nate Dogg made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart 16 times, even hitting number one with 50 Cent's "21 Questions." He also released three studio albums and several successful singles on his own in the '90s.
