December Kiln Opening, Cone 6 With 5 Minute Hold. Pictures at the end.

Hello everyone, welcome to another kiln opening. I'm still trying out new glazes from Mayco. This time around Ivy, Copper Jade, Capri Blue, Jade and Tuxedo were used for the first time. What I learned from these glazes is that Ivy is a runner, looks great and only needs three coats maybe even two. Copper Jade has a smooth copperish green tint. It did not seem to be a runner. Capri Blue is a very dominant dark blue. It was the only color on the platter to come out strong besides the greens of course. Jade is a beautiful green and is not a runner. Tuxedo may be replacing Obsedian I don't know yet. Obesian leaves a lot of pits so I'm trying different blacks to fix the issue. I really like all of these glazes.
Mary one of my neighbor's had some really nice little sculptures. Her work with the underglaze was great.
