Where to start?

This entire cosplay was on the brink of disaster.
I went to put it on the morning of the event and it started falling apart and turning into dust in my hands. I couldn’t change my costume as there was no backup plan. This or nothing! Fighting tears and fearing embarrassment, I decided to wear it anyway.

After all, Axel is a fire type and we all know about that one time he went “Kamikaze” to save his friends. All the Nobodies coats tend to flake and fade away when they are defeated. I hoped that maybe we can make this work. Luckily, the fire props that me and mom made worked perfectly with the tattered jacket. I hope it will translate well in the photo shoot.

It was also the first convention of the season, Toronto ComiCon. I couldn’t help but feel defeated before the day began. I tried to make the best of it. Some were able to tell who I was cosplaying as anyway so that was great.

The jacket continued to disintegrate throughout the day. There wasn’t much left by the end of the night and that was it’s final run. I’m surprised I had enough left to keep me warm for the trip back home.

At least I got to finally do my husbando some justice after failing at doing a decent Axel cosplay for years.
PS: FUCK THE HAIR!

Now that KH3 is finally out, I figured it deserved some praise.

Talk about cosplay drama huh?

At least the makeup turned out good. I used a bunch of new products and items I got over the holidays.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this “last leg” Axel cosplay more than I did wearing it.
