Ingredients
Maida - 1/2 cup - sieved along with a pinch of salt
1/2 tablespoon oil
3 tablespoon oil ( to kneed the dough, which needs to be stiff)
Leave it to rest

Filling
Suji- 1/2 cup
Ghee - 2 tablespoons
Coconut- dry coconut - 1/2
Powdered sugar- 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon
Cardamom powder- 1teaspoon
A pinch of salt
Mixed roasted cashews and pistachios
Dates grated or finely chopped- 4
Oil for frying

Method Of Preparation
1.Heat ghee in a pan add in rawa and cook till it start becoming golden in colour now add coconut and saute till become golden in colour. Add rest of the ingredients and mix well. Filling is ready
2.Take about 15 gms of the dough and make a ball out of it.
Roll it out as thin as you can, then put the filling in the centre, fold it to make a half moon shape, making sure the stuffing is all towards one side. Seal it well with the help of a little water, the with a fork make a design all through the edge making sure you don't tear the karanji.
3.Keep it covered till all are ready to be fried. Fry them in hot oil, on low flame till golden in colour.
Serve hot or cold.
