Welcome to West Gordon Parish Church of Scotland (Alford, Strathdon, Rhynie)

A very warm welcome to West Gordon Parish Church and to our Joint Service of Worship for the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost, Sunday 19th October 2025, which was recorded in Strathdon Church.

Using passages from both the Old and the New Testaments, we reflected on what we need to do to live a ‘Life of Gratitude’ and be consciously aware of all the great gifts that come from our loving Father God. Our God is a Living God who wants us to be close to Him.

‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ (Jeremiah 29: 11)

The readings from the Bible were – Psalm 66: 1 – 9, Jeremiah 29: 1 & 4 – 11 and Luke 17: 11 – 19

The Hymns used in the service were –
‘Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise’ (CH4 132)
‘God Forgave My Sin in Jesus’ Name’ (SGP 33)
‘When out of Poverty is Born’ (CH4 291)
‘Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart’ (CH4 180)
‘Now Thank We All Our God’ (CH4 182)
