** Information **

This dungeon, called the Catacombs of Kathandrax, is one of the more difficult dungeons if you don't have the right protection with you. First of all, Ilsundur is what I would call a giant Burning Spirit/Flame Djinn, and because he is a fire elementalist boss, it is obvious you will encounter many burning in the dungeon. Therefore, 2 team members including me, used "Breath of the Great Dwarf" to get rid of the burning condition (most of the time). Second, you might want to have a tanker to hold the Ethers back, and especially an interrupt (Mesmer preferably). Keep in mind that the Ethers will drain your energy down very quickly, wherefore it is preferable for a warrior (As I did) to use his skills before engaging them, and then get energy drained as the only target so casters aren't completely shut down. A warrior needs more out of adrenaline anyway, so it doesn't matter for him to lose energy. SoS recommended if retreat may be needed, and also for cheap damage. 2 monks is a must here, one to prevent conditions, and most important protection against high-damage skills like Fire Magic, and plain simply Ilsundur himself. As long as you don't overaggro, it's ok! Watch the fast running groups at level 3, because overaggro is most likely to happen there. Good luck!

WARNING: There are runners who sell their "Hammer of Kathandrax" for 3-5k. This is the quest item of the Dungeon quest that is needed to get the reward for completing the dungeon. This will, however, NOT complete your Zaishen Bounty! You must kill Ilsundur, Lord of Fire in order to achieve the reward for the ZB. Don't be fooled by the trap!
