Description:
Some claim this is a tragic love eulogy; others believe it is a wistful ode. Whether interpreted as a song of love or nostalgia, none can deny. This following dance uses the unique emotional characteristics of the Jiaozhou Yangko style, paired with a classical dance style, to deliver the story of of NanShanNan.

“Wu” represents the connection between Chinese dance & Chinese martial arts — 舞（wǔ）means dance & 武 （wǔ）means martial arts.

UC Berkeley Fei Tian Dancers (FTD), Cal Wushu, and Cal VSA Lion Dance presented a joint end-of-the-semester showcase for the Spring 2022 Semester! Similar to our previous Fall 2021 joint showcase, “Wu” showcased a wide range of Chinese dance & martial arts performances, celebrating cultural diversity & sharing our hard work throughout the semester.
