Training multiple dogs at once isn't hard off you have a method!. It is important to have fair expectations and to understand that your dogs will make mistakes. Whether you are training two dogs at a time, three dogs at a time or a large pack, you can quickly make progress and get them to the point that they listen well off leash.

Make sure to practice recall (come), stay and down. These are the three most important commands when working with a group of dogs off leash. Sit is great and so is heel, but they are not as important as the other commands.

You might notice that the dogs were training without collars today. This is important if you want your dogs to listen in any scenario. We start with collars and leashes or long lines and then gradually get to the point where they are no longer needed. The goal of training a dog should be to get your dog to the point where they can listen off leash in every scenario even if their collar or leash is not on!
