Power BI - From Table to Insights - Series recap

Looking back on this series, it is impossible for us not to be blown away by what it is doing. This starts with us as analysts producing daily/weekly/monthly extracts from a data source.

We used the England Food Standards data because the geographic data makes for an excellent analogy for data over time. However, having automated and produced data and insights far wider than we could have ever hoped, all using Power BI Pro Subscriptions.

We enabled some metrics and set up a scorecard. So we could track performance over time in a way that we had never been able to before.

Finally, we set up a simple Powerapps structure that would allow us to collect comments that would feed into the Board PowerPoint.

Considering this is all done with a Power BI Pro subscription and can be done by members of a business team, it is incredible to think that what traditionally would require significant investment can now be implemented quickly and easily by the team currently responsible and potentially all within their routine work rather than having to take on the additional expense of a whole project team either to backfill them for day to day tasks or to complete the implementation.
