CA Legislators walked off the Assembly & Senate floor as the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” were being “honored” to join the Prayer Vigil hosted by California Family Council, the American Council, and the California Catholic Conference. Including: Joe & Jim Patterson, Lackey, Essayli, Sanchez, Grove, Megan Dahle, Tri Ta, and Gallagher.

Assembly Republican Leader, James Gallagher, joined the Prayer Vigil on the Capitol steps and stated: “This isn’t partisan, we had to walk out today in conscience cause we could not stand for religious bigotry anywhere.” Christians, “and while we were yet still sinners, Christ died for us, and before the scales fell from our eyes, we were just as those, without hope, in bondage to sin but Jesus Christ paid the price on that cross. On the cross is our victory. On that cross it was very ugly, Jesus took on all of our sin, the deepest, darkest sins of all mankind, and he conquered death itself and now we have salvation in Christ Jesus, there is nothing more amazing than that.”
