 THEY COMMITTED MURDER, IN AN ATTEMPT OF ROBBERY.

 WEAPON OF OFFENCE i.e. A KNIFE USED IN COMMISSION OF CRIME RECOVERED.

 BOTH ACCUSED FOUND TO BE HABITUAL CRIMINALS & DRUG ADDICTS, PREVIOUSLY FOUND INVOLVED IN CASES OF SNATCHING, ROBBERY, THEFT & EXCISE ACT.

With the arrest of two accused persons namely, Ashu Miyan @ Kana S/o Mohd. Hanif R/o Jahangirpuri, Delhi, Age- 32 Years and Kamal Singh @ Bablu S/o Bhim Singh R/o Jahangirpuri, Delhi, Age- 36 Years, Special Staff/ North-West solved blind sensational murder case registered vide FIR No.314/23 U/s 302 IPC PS Mahendra Park. The committed murder, in order to attempt robbery, but when victim resisted, they stabbed him by knife. Both accused found to be habitual criminals & drug addicts, previously involved in cases of snatching, robbery, theft & excise act. Weapon of offence i.e. a knife used in commission of offence was also recovered.

Brief Facts & Incident Details:-
On 22.02.23 at about 03:53 AM, a PCR call regarding a person lying unconscious near bus stand, Azadpur Subji Mandi, was received in PS Mahendra Park. Immediately, police staff reached at the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead, due to stab injury in his chest. During enquiry, the deceased was identified as Ram Parvesh Paswan (age-47 years) S/o Sita ram Paswan R/o Teegipur, Bakhtawarpur, Delhi and Permanent R/o Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

In this regard, a case vide FIR No.314/2023 dated 22.02.23 U/s 302 IPC was registered in PS Mahendra Park and investigation was taken up.

Investigation & Team:-
Considering the gravity of offence and sensitivity of the case, one team led by Insp. Dinesh Beniwal, I/C Special Staff/ NW comprising of SI Arun Kumar, SI Suresh Tyagi, HC Satya Narender, HC Narsi Ram, HC Somveer, HC Bholu, HC Indraj, Ct Uttam, Ct Ankush & Ct Sunil and another team led by Insp. Sanjay Singh, SHO/PS Mahendra Park & Insp. Ravi of PS Mahendra Park were formed under close supervision of Sh. Pankaj Singh, ACP/Operations & Sh. Swadesh Prakash, ACP/Shalimar Bagh and overall supervision of the undersigned, to work on this case and nab the accused at the earliest.

During investigation, it was found that the deceased was lying unconscious on the Bus Stand near gate no. 2 of Azadpur Mandi and no eye witness of the incident could be found. Family members informed that on 21.02.2023 at about 06:30 AM the deceased left from home and when he did not return home, his wife made call to him and he told that he is in Azadpur and will reach home within one hour. Thereafter, they had no other information.

The team started scrutinizing footage of the CCTV cameras installed at & around the place of incident. Further, hundreds of CCTV Cameras which were found installed in Azadpur Mandi, near Pink Booth, Integrated Booth of Adarsh Nagar, ISBT were checked and one suspected truck, one suspected auto, one suspected e-Rickshaw, two suspected motorcycles and various vehicles which were parked behind the bus stand were verified. At the same time, various suspected persons were also verified. After making sincere & persistent efforts, the team succeeded in finding footage of a CCTV camera in which two suspects were seen coming from Adarsh Nagar Metro Station towards scene of crime. Accordingly, sources were deployed to gather local intelligence and to establish the identity of suspects. The team of Special Staff/ North-West succeeded in identifying the accused through secret information and various other sources.

Accordingly raids were conducted at possible hideouts of the accused and the team was able to nab him from the Jahangirpuri area in a raid. On enquiry, he was identified as Ashu Miyan @ Kana S/o Mohd. Hanif R/o Jahangirpuri, Delhi, Age- 32 Years.

During his sustained interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the case. He further disclosed that on night of incident, they noticed the victim, sitting alone at the bus stand and decided to snatch his money & other belongings. However, the victim resisted and a scuffle took place between them and he took out a knife from the pocket of his pant & stabbed him in the chest and fled away from the spot, while leaving the victim bleeding to death. He threw the knife used in committing murder, in a garbage dump. After that, they kept on changing his locations & remain hidden at various places of their relatives/friends in Jahangirpuri, Azadpur & Sriniwaspuri, in order to evade their arrest.

On verification, accused Ashu Miyan @ Kana found to be a habitual criminal and drug addict, previously involved in 02 cases of snatching & theft in the area of PS Model Town & PS Adarsh Nagar. Further, on his instance, weapon of offence i.e. a knife used in committing murder was also recovered from garbage dump near Adarsh Nagar metro station. Further, blood stained clothes worn by him at the time of incident were also recovered.
