This video shows a Code2 design of a flexible GUI for neuroscience data analysis: spike detection and classification.

The main characteristics of our Code2 design are
(i) a flexible menu or one that automatically includes choices into a menu of a graphic user interface (GUI).
(ii) Documents are always consistent with the current version of their associated programs automatically.
(iii) The scientific program units not only execute the scientific computation but also provide the basic information and documents for a GUI frame.
(iv) The experiment results are organized automatically.

The concept of our Code2 is the way of generating the main program (Top-Down Design) and its subroutines (Bottom-Up Design).
The main program is a code, which is a top-down design, and the subroutines are codes, which are bottom-up design.
The GUI-frame is the main program and each choice in the menu of the GUI is also a specific code. Therefore, the design of our GUI code is based on the codes of scientific methods. We name this design as "Codes based Codes", or Code2.

As a result of our survey, we have concluded that the MATLAB software is the most suitable program for this project.
There are several reasons:
(1) MATLAB is an interpreted language for which most of its implementations execute instructions directly, without compiling a program.
(2) MATLAB can communicate with the system easily and change the directories flexibly.
(3) MATLAB can handle the string command easily.
