We need to change the system through a public movement to bring changes in society and not rely on governments across the world. There is a need today that the public should come forward and be receptive to the idea of adopting 100% solar energy. Energy Swaraj Movement, a public movement has been launched to take measurable actions against climate change. Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki is currently on Energy Swaraj Yatra, an 11-year long commitment (2020-2030), under the banner of the Energy Swaraj Foundation, taking unpaid leave from IIT Bombay to create Energy Swaraj Movement. He is living, staying and sleeping in the solar bus.

This yatra was flagged-off by Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhanji, who given the contribution of Prof. Solanki in the field of Solar Energy, has conferred him with the title of Brand Ambassador of Madhya Pradesh in the field of Solar Energy
