You don’t budget for deer strikes, but they’ll hit your bottom line anyway. While advanced safety systems continue to evolve, they’re not foolproof. They aren't designed to mitigate incidents involving wildlife, road debris and unpredictable highway hazards. Then consider that cab and sheet metal service continues to grow. Service data suggests it’s one of the most consistent service categories for new vehicles. It ranked second-highest for trucks under three years old and remained in the top five across all age groups.

Nathan Holt, Product Marketing Manager, Ex-Guard, said that front line truck protection is an investment in total cost of ownership.

“It’s massive. In fact we’ve seen fleets report that they’ve had decreases of up to 97% when it comes to their front end replacement parts costs and 80% in towable accidents,” Holt noted, speaking to the impact (pun intended) he's seen grille guards have on heavy-duty trucks. “Protecting their assets and making sure they’re not putting their drivers at risk on the road has been a massive advantage. That’s why we see fleets continually switching over to the larger, the full protection to ensure the entire front end and their drivers are protected.”
