The Crew Calling All Units expansion is now live and here showing the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Performance spec customization up to level 1497, a new cops and racers mode FreeDrive Transport or Crate Transport on the transporter side, as well as a custom FDC race (FreeDrive Challenge) to show the overall performance with friends. The Ferrari F12 is only available for Perf spec.

I am using keyboard with manual transmission and sport assists in this video. The Hot Pursuit mode however, was using automatic.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Perf Spec Review:
Well lets get straight to the point. It's not a top car in the performance spec. It's acceleration, NOS power and handling is just "good", not great. The launch is a little slow due to wheelspin but overall it doesn't have wheelspin issues at third gear, unless you use the NOS too much that it starts spinning.

But perhaps the biggest drawback of the F12, and a frustrating one is that annoying steering lock during braking. Whenever you apply the brakes, the steering just suddenly lock up, turning only half of it's maximum turn rate. Note that this only applied to keyboard/xinput users, steering wheel and dinput users won't have this issue. Because of this, if you are a keyboard user, you cannot brake dive into corners like the top cars. You also cannot brake during corner, because you will just get a massive understeer. The F12 isn't the only car that has this issue. The RUF RT35, TVR Sagaris, SRT Viper GTS and the biggest offender, the Mclaren F1 have this issue. The old 722 Mclaren also have this but was fixed in the updated handling.

Overall it's performance is an above average perf spec car. It's just that brake steering lock issue on this car that makes this car isn't fun to drive and not that great performance wise.

Now for the Hot Pursuit mode, which in-game is called FreeDrive Transport where Racers will carry crates and police will stop and arrest the transporter. Now anyone on the racer side can join this event, but to be on the police side it requires the CAU expansion.

Unfortunately, there is some serious balancing issues with this mode, all in favor of the cop side. Well firstly all it takes is to drive up close to the transporter for 7 secs to arrest, regardless of speed. And who thought it's a good idea to have the EMP Shock as an instant activation ability that takes over your car's controls for 4 seconds? Even in NFS, EMP takes a lock on plus it only temporary disrupt your steering for just 0.5 secs, followed by a loss of power. The Crew on the other hand, 4 seconds of zero control chaos on your car. It's overall a great addition, but clearly needs a complete overhaul.
