Porgies are a staple of the party boat fleet due their abundance, scrappiness on the end of the line, and their tasty, pork-chop-shaped fillets.

Long Island Sound is the epicenter of the Northeast's porgy fishery, and that's where Anthony DeiCicchi heads to set sail on the Blackhawk II out of Niantic, Connecticut. Mixed in with the scup are sea bass, fluke, and even a few triggerfish.
