Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 16th and 17th September 2023

The annual Battle of Britain Airshow at IWM Duxford didn't dissapoint this year, very reminiscent of the former 'Flying Legends' shows that were held pre pandemic. A varied line-up of aircraft took part in the show with numerous Duxford based ones as well as visiting. One of the highlights had to be the formation display by the Battle of Britain Lancaster and Duxford based B-17 'Sally B' - not seen together like that for twenty eight years. The Red Arrows displayed on both days bringing to an end their 2023 UK display season before a short European tour. Saturday was blessed with very warm and sunny conditions whilst the Sunday saw a number of aircraft unable to display due to a strengtherning cross winds.
