In this lecture, we will cover Class 7 history NCERT chapter 3. "The Delhi Sultans" (part 1)

In part 1 of chapter 3, we will study about the rule of the Delhi Sultanate. We will study how Delhi gradually rose to importance under the Tomara Rajputs and the Chauhan (Chahamana) Dynasty. We'll have a look at the different dynasties that are included in the Delhi Sultanate, and their important rulers. Then, we will understand what are Tawarikh, the mindset of tawarikh authors, and the stories of Raziyya sultan, Queen Rudramadevi (Kakatiya dynasty) and Queen Didda (of Kashmir).
All points in the chapter have been explained in a very simple manner. This way, it will be easy to remember these points for class 7 exams, as well as, various competitive exams, like UPSC, bank PO, cds, ssc gl, etc.
