Here’s a super fun style made by Clay Ambassador Iza, from @brozbo.handmade:

“Pick 3–4 favorite colors plus one contrasting (I used white). Roll each into thin sheets and cut round shapes. Stack them like a cake, alternating colors with white however you like.

Roll the stacked log to fit your clay extruder, use a square disc, and extrude a funky square rope. Cut it into equal parts and arrange them to build your cane, mixing orientations to avoid same-color neighbors.

Press together with an acrylic sheet or tile to keep it even, then let it rest to prevent distortion.

Once firm, slice thin pieces and place them on a thin base layer of clay. Cover with paper and press gently or run through a pasta machine slowly to avoid warping.

Now your retro slab is ready to create earrings, bookmarks, or more!”
