伍轉笑的丈夫本來在紐約世貿中心工作，九一一事件當日因為休假而逃過一劫。但他後來患上嚴重抑鬱症，最終走上自殺的不歸路。 過不多久她的家婆與父親也相繼離世。她在連番打擊及極度悲痛中還要獨力照顧一對子女 。直至今日，在她臉上仍然有抺不乾的淚水。

Anna Ng’s husband worked in the World Trade Centre in New York. When 9/11 occurred, he escaped the tragedy because he was off that day for a vacation. Although he was spared from the disaster, he suffered from severe depression. At the end, he committed suicide. But soon again, Anna’s mother-in-law and her father also passed away subsequently. Adding to the blows and grief, the responsibility of raising the two young children fell on her shoulders. Today, the memory of the tragedy still vivid, but impossibly, the tear on Anna’s face is no longer of sorrow, but of joy.
