Unused player animations from NSMB DS. A lot of these are from the beta, including a lot of moves from Super Mario 64 and even a separate cap model with animations for falling off Mario's head. Speaking of Mario's head, please excuse the fact that Mario is headless, the NSMB player models have the head separate from the rest of the body.

If you want to rip and view the animations for yourself, follow the steps below.

You will need:
NSMB editor || https://nsmbhd.net/download/
Apicula || https://github.com/scurest/apicula
A ROM of New Super Mario Bros. (Find one yourself)

Step 1: Duplicate your New Super Mario Bros ROM.
Step 2: Open the duplicated New Super Mario Bros. ROM with the NSMB Editor.
Step 3: Go to ROM file browser, navigate to "root" folder, go to the "player" folder and then click "LZ Decompress" on all the files in the player folder.
Step 4: Open command prompt, then go to the folder that Apicula is installed in.
Step 5: Type "apicula extract [NSMB ROM location] -o [Output directory]"
Now you have all the NSMB models (including players) extracted into the output directory.
The models will be .nsbmd format and animations are .nsbca files. From there you can type:

"apicula view [.nsbmd model you want to view] [.nsbca animation you want to view with the model (optional)]"

And a window should open with the model preview. Instructions on navigating it will be in the command prompt.
