Here's a new PB. My previous PB and record of 54.936 was recently beaten by the player kylekanga with a 54.073. This run here saves just a bit of time over them, I was on pace for a sub 53 but made a few mistakes towards the end of the run. I was really trying to upload a run that saves more than about 200 milliseconds but after another hour or two of attempts on multiple days I was unable to beat it. Since this surpasses the record I'm just going to upload it for now and I'll get that sub 53 at some point.

You can tell once I got to the end screen that I wasn't too happy about losing time right at the end of the run, I thought that I missed the mark but was happy to see that I barely broke the record. Really wanted a bigger PB but this is a new record for now, I'll try to get a sub 53 later on. Also upon double checking I got this run on 8/24/25 which was the same day that kylekanga beat my previous record but I held onto it to try to get a larger PB but I've put in enough effort for now, glad to finally be uploading this run even if it only barely beats the record, granted the run is optimized so I shouldn't really be able to get a huge new PB but seeing that I was on pace for a sub 53 it made me really want that time.

An important note, so I've speedran this game for almost 5 years now and I've never been able to hold all Hammer only IL records but with this run, once it gets verified it'll put me at 40/40 records! A very big achievement indeed, I'm very happy that I've finally managed to do it after a long grind, I presume I'll lose records over time so I'll have to stay caught up on it to hold that title, I'll try my best to continue to hold all of them. Next objective for me I think is to also get all Hammer Only 100% records as well, there are 31 of those to get and I already have about half of them, if I were to achieve all of them in that category as well then I'd have every single Hammer Only record which I think would be very cool considering that Hammer Only was my first category that I started submitting run to. It's been a long 5 years almost and there will be years to come for more speedrun goodness, but today I can feel very accomplished knowing that I finally got all 40 Hammer Only IL records.
