Elevate Your Art Game With Stunning Photo Image Transfer In Your Art Journal!

I felt like I needed to channel being more focused. Sometimes my life feels like a fast moving train because I wear many different hats that it can be hard to stay focused on not getting overwhelmed. I wanted to try something different that would require focus. Photo transfer is fun but can be tricky to do. It is good to practice a few times to understand what amount of gel medium works best for you. There can also be other contributing factors on how well an image will transfer like the printer ink, printer paper, type or brand of gel medium, how much you burnish and even the paper you use to transfer on to. It may seem like a lot so why do it? Image transfers are beautiful and add a very thin layer so they are perfect for an art journal to not add any bulk. They melt into the page and have this great distressed edge. No image transfer is the same. For the rest of the page I used my favorite and most relaxing technique to apply Distress Oxide sprays and stenciled texture paste. A little disclaimer though for the video, I normally film with special lighting so everything is nice and clear but I was really enjoying the natural light that was coming in through the window. About half way through filming I was so "focused" on creating that I didn't even realize it became night time so I hope the video is not too dark towards the end. It was almost a window into the creating. I hope you enjoy and get inspired to try an image transfer!
