For more than three hours Monday morning, a fire burned at the Olympic table tennis venue.
A fire department official in Beijing says the 2008 Summer Olympic site is under construction.
Construction at the site started almost two years ago.

The fire department sent 17 engines to the Peking University gymnasium.

It was supposed to be finished next month with a test event scheduled for December.
It's not clear what caused the fire. State-run media reports the cause is under investigation.
The table tennis venue is one of eleven being built for the 2008 summer games.
