Whenever regulation play ended in a tie on the TV series ROLLERGAMES, live alligators were brought out and put into the pit. Each team would then present their modern day gladiator, known as a "gator skater," to defend their honor by knocking their opponent into the live alligator pit, earning them the winning game point. Make no mistake, this redefined the term, "Sudden Death Overtime!" As the gators were brought out and dumped into the pit, the cheerleaders would dance to the "RollerGator" theme song.
