For this video, I wanted to demonstrate a different way of approaching the Zentangle doodle idea. Instead of beginning with pencil-sketched "strings," I dove right into patterns and allowed the patterns to dictate their own shapes.

I began this doodle with a practice page, where I started thinking about what Zentangle patterns I wanted to include in the final drawing. Then, I made a loose plan about which patterns to put in the foreground and the background. When the drawing was complete, I planned some basic ideas for color, and used the primary triad to add some emphasis to the large Zentangle doodle.
