A beloved piece of Walsall history made its grand comeback yesterday as the newly restored Three Men in a Boat automaton was officially unveiled by the Mayor of Walsall!

Crowds of residents, excited schoolchildren and community partners gathered in the Bradford Mall atrium at Saddlers Shopping Centre to witness the magic moment – the first chimes of the iconic clock at 2pm.

This stunning restoration pays tribute to Walsall-born author Jerome K. Jerome and his world-famous novel 'Three Men in a Boat'.
