Vanstra PC started in 1980 with but a dream and $10,000. Facing the hard difficulty of building a software giant, our founder Sean built a small room and from there tried to build an empire. Will he succeed, or will his software dreams go up in smoke in the face of opposition and the inevitable flaws of playing an early alpha game? Only time will tell.

Software Inc is an amazing business simulation game with detailed personnel management elements. Work contracts, provide server hosting, design software, hire programmers and marketing... buy stocks, save for insurance, dominate the market! All of it is possible in this very fun software tycoon title. We'll be playing on hard mode and avoiding the server profitability exploit, trying to make it through Sean's retirement the old-fashioned way.

Vanstra PC will be focusing on personal computer software, likely with a focus on games and operating systems. However the main goal will be making money and building a large business, so perhaps things will turn out entirely different. Honestly I'm not familiar enough with the game to know for sure. I hope you'll enjoy my Software Inc gameplay and commentary, and maybe pick up on some tips and tricks along the way. As usual I will try to talk through my decisions and will be playing as much of an “ironman” style as possible – no reloading! Of course if there's some giant bug or unexpected disaster, that's a different story... but we won't be save-scumming just because I made a bad decision along the way.
