Ahhhhh December. True Winter. And the beginning of our favorite theme, or at least my favorite theme: legs.
Every day is leg day in my book, and I hope to bring you into the fold with Utkatasana, Chair Pose, the pose that everyone loves to hate.
This 30 minute class, suitable for all levels, revolves around Chair Pose Variations, to help strengthen the hips, quads, and ankles, and open the heart space and shoulders.
We also work on balance, as balance is the key to life. Our balance keeps us standing, upright. Yin and Yang, good and bad, dark and light; the balance of these things keeps the world turning, civilization progressing, human minds evolving.
Balance is Key. Balance is our natural state. Here, we will learn to keep our balance while moving and grooving and making our legs shake.
Come back to this class often, when you need to find strength, when you need to find a lift in the heart, when you need something a little less high intensity and a little more stabilizing. Your mat, your legs, and I are here to support you.
