Welcome to my review of the Knight Power Kaihoki Leon Cellular (ナイトパワー解放器レオンセルラー). I've been putting this one off for awhile now since, well, I don't care for Goseiger one bit. Not a fan of the show, and certainly not a fan of the toys. Since my main thing is reviewing Henshin toys...here we go.

The Leon Cellular is the Henshin item for Gosei Knight (ゴセイナイト) in a less traditional sense. Since Gosei Knight is unable to have a human form, the Leon Cellular is used to transform into the Groundion Headder (グランディオンヘッダー) and for use with Gosei Cards (ゴセイカード) for spells in the same way the Tensouder does.

Leon Cellular comes with three cards...

1. Summon
2. Change
3. Combine

1. サモン
2. チェンジ
3. コンバイン

Unlike the Tensouder, with each card a code must be typed in on the phone's keypad. to activate.

The Leon Cellular can also be attached to Goseiknight's weapon, the Leon Laser (レオンレイザー). Once attached to the Leon Laser, it becomes the Dynamic Leon Laser (ダイナミックレオンレイザー) with a special Gosei Card, Knight Dynamic (ナイトダイナミック).

I genuinely don't like this toy. Basically its Tensouder+Phone=Leon Cellular. I used to complain about the Go Phone being too large and clunky, but the Leon Cellular takes that title away. The Go Phone needed to be big in order to use the Engine Souls. This is just large and cartoonish for no reason.

The design itself is pretty horrible as well. It's so lopsided when the phone is open. The light on the phone is in the wrong place. If you want an example of how this phone could've had great lights, check out my review of the G Brace Phone from Gaoranger. The EYES should light up, not the.....teeth? Moustache? Tongue? What were they thinking?

So a lot of people were wondering if I like this better than the godawful Tensouder. No. They're both two of the worst Sentai Henshin toys in history. I'm sorry if you're a fan of Goseiger or this toy, but there are much better toys out there, toys with clever designs and gimmicks. This is just a haphazardly designed piece of junk.

Summary: It's shaped like a toilet.

If Power Rangers continues past the upcoming 2011 season, it would be natural that Goseiger will be adapted along with it. I supposed we can expect to see the Leon Cellular as a Morpher for 2012 Power Rangers.
