Chiming the Bells at St Lawrence, Isle of Wight

Описание к видео Chiming the Bells at St Lawrence, Isle of Wight

The church of St Lawrence in St Lawrence (Ventnor) on the Isle of Wight sits next to a busy road. The most prominent feature is the bell wall on the west-end of the church. Originally housing two bells hung for swing chiming the parish decided to install a small chime of 8 bells in 1935 by Gillett & Johnston. They were restored in 1977 and overhauled and refurbished in 2002 for the Golden Jubilee. The chiming clavier was relocated as not to obscure the west window at this time.

St Lawrence, 8 bells, 2-1-20cwt in G.
