💜 How do we build safety for suvivors?

The Survivor Liberation Project (October 2024 to April 2025) was a six-month pilot that wove together psychosocial well-being and livelihood support for women, queer, and trans survivors of sexual and gender-based violence across Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. At its heart was a simple belief: survivors should not have to choose between safety and survival. They deserve both, healing and livelihood, dignity and belonging.

In this video, you will hear directly from the people who shaped and carried this work: our partners, mental health practitioners, and survivors themselves. Their testimonies remind us of the power of community care, solidarity, and healing justice.

Over 40 sessions were co-designed and delivered by five women and queer mental health practitioners — Aritra, Mansi, Mihika, Radhika, and Yashtika — complementing the efforts of five partner organisations — Bengal Transmen Collective (BTC), Committee of Resource Organisations (CORO), Each One Feed One (EOFO), Naz Foundation, and Shakti Shalini (SS). Together, we reached more than 100 survivors, creating spaces for expression, safety, and leadership.
