The Brazilian 1932 revolution was a movement led by the paulistan oligarchy that had been overthrown in the 1930 revolution, their objective was to prevent the constitutional assembly of 1933 and make the new constitution in their own terms. While the movement succesfully took over São Paulo, it failed to gain support in the rest of the country and it was crushed. The 1933 constitutional assembly happened as planned and the new constituion passed
