The Bowline On A Bight is used to form a double loop in the center of a rope. This allows you to create a dual anchor points in longer rope for various different applications. Generally this knot is used in the climbing and rescue fields, but it also has some more practical applications as well. I personally use this knot when forming a Trucker's Hitch whenever I need multiple tie points to secure a load.
